When looking for an app that allows you to keep a library to hold as well as buy video games, movies, and developer apps, look no further. Steam is an app for PC and Mac by Valve Corporation offering DRM (digital rights management), multiplayer, and social networking. Steam is 100% free to download and install to PCs and Macs and has been around since 2003. Over recent years, steam has had additional features added. One of the those features is Steam Greenlight. With Greenlight, the masses can choose which games, movies, or developer tools get added and publicized to steam. This is a great addition for indie or new start up companies. Another feature is called 'Big Picture'. Big Picture is relatively new and allows someone to transform their PC so that it appears more like modern day consoles (Playstation and Xbox). Coming soon, Steam has created their own game pad controller and it will serve to enhance the Big Picture feature. Additionally, steam has "black Friday" level sales twice a year. These sales are known has the Summer Sale and the Winter Sale. During these times, users can find video games for sale for up to 90% off. These features are all what make steam what it is today, which is the top tier gaming app for PC.

The future is here. Google has a self driving car prototype which not only will allow us all to travel on safer roads, we can be lazy Americans who can use both hands to scarf down burgers all the while driving towards our destinations. No, the cars aren't being controlled by the Devil, it uses googles latest technology which is deemed safer than human drivers. In fact, in the latest news about these little googler cars, the car performed perfectly, but since it was too safe a human driver ran into the back of the super smart car while it stopped for a pedestrian in a crosswalk. However, this should prove that the computerized driving cars of the future are in fact safer than their organic counterparts. The real beauty of robots driving people around is that once the entire traffic system is computerized, traffic fatalities will probably drop by more than 95%. Hopefully the future will hold glorious brightly colored roads that look like something from the movie Tron. Otherwise, our future will look like something from the Matrix or Terminator where we are controlled, hunted, or killed by the machines that we built. I think we can all hope for the former and this new venture from google is only the beginning.
